To provide the very best long-term endurance that further enhances the environmental credentials of using timber, we have developed VACSOL Aqua 6118 – more commonly known on the market as VACSOL 6118.
A water-based, metal free low pressure preservative treatment, VACSOL Aqua 6118 has full BPR ( (Biocidal Products Regulation) authorisation. Timber treated with VACSOL Aqua 6118 is non-hazardous to human and animal health, and to the environment.
With VAC-VAC booster technology for enhanced performance, VACSOL Aqua 6118 provides an effective ‘envelope’ of long-term protection against fungal and insect attack around general building timbers and joinery components. It can be used to treat timbers in Use Class 1, 2 and 3 (coated).
Also, with an increased focus on embodied carbon in the built environment, we have designed VACSOL Aqua 6118 as a concentrate which means that it is supplied with a lower carbon footprint. Plus, at end-of-life the treated timber can be re-used or recycled as it is classed as non-hazardous waste material.

We use a low pressure, double vacuum process for treating timber with VACSOL wood preservative.
As VACSOL 6118 leaves the timbers virtually unchanged in their appearance, we offer a range of colour options to help treatment companies confirm to their end customers that the timbers have been preservative treated.
